Rock Em Wedges

So I got a chance to rock my new "Rock EM" wedges from www.dibashoes.com. I have to say that when I first saw them, I didn't recognize the complex beauty that they held..but when I put them on all I could say was OMG!!! I totally love them.  The white straps are a very crisp white color and the texture in the basket woven heal is just dynamic! These shoes are super comfortable paired nicely with my hippie jeans from Urban Outfitters, my bold yellow button down from Forever 21, and my bag that I got in Brazil.  I topped of the look with shades from Mark Anthony Collection in the St Louis Mills and my Bo, Mr. Kenneth DeShields..mmm...mmm..good!:)

The Boho look has to be one of my favorite looks, because it speaks true to my personality! I am easy going....well I try to be (lol)...and I love to look effortlessly chic! This look is a great go to look for the summer  and is amazing at hiding a difficult hair day! Hear are a few ideas on how to rock the  turban, headband, and scarf Bo-ho style! You can wear your hair pinned up, half up and half down, all the way down, or tucked away...I'm sure there is a look for you!!:) ... So if you're nervous about trying this there are a lot of options! Just pick the one that works best for you!!:)  I made all of the headbands that I'm wearing .  They are super easy to make (i will show you later)!

Polka mania!!!!!! My May 14, STLTV look

Today my STLTV live look was brought to you my sista from another mista...Courtney Bruce Hand.  She picked out my outfit today and I loved it!! POLKA MANIA.  I don't normally wear Polka Dot, so this was a nice change for me.  The blouse, polka dot bracelets, and beads are Forever 21.  The tagged by God bracelet is from Hope Church...Shout out to www.hopechurch.org, The jeans (I don't remember, they are an old pair.) The heels I recently got from Shi and I love love love them!!! Thanks again CoCo..for hooking me up!!

Check out how I did my nails in my previous post "Fresh for Less"

FRESH FOR LESS: Impress nails!!!! under $10.00

So for those of you who know me, you know that I don't like to fuss with my nails at all! I don't like sitting forever in a nail salon and I also don't like long nail. With all of this being said, i still really like for my nails to look nice. Especially when I go to different events.

I did a YouTube video a few months back about kiss nails and the stickers designs that you can put on your nails. I liked them, but I found that I still had to put nail glue underneath them if I wanted it them to last at least a week. I still like them, but My friend Michele Suazo hipped me to imPress Nails and I love them so much that I have been wearing them for the last couple of weeks!

You find them at Walgreens in a variety of colors and designs for under $10.00.  They are very easy to apply! Just make sure that you read the directions and use the alcohol patch to rub your nails before applying.  I made the mistake of not doing this the first time and the nails didn't stay as long.  I can say that these nails last at least a week! and if one falls off there are enough in the package to do two manicures.  So you can replace them.  I'm really loving these and people are always complementing me on them!... Shout out to my amiga Michele!!!
I just put these on today!!:)
I mixed a print with a solid color

How do you Vintage?

Do you like vintage clothing? How do you incorporate a vintage piece into your modern wardrobe? What is considered vintage? I am here to answer all of these questions in this blog. I have been a thrift shopper for a while, but I have recently gotten into vintage clothing and accessories. I went to an event called "Handmade Happy Hour" a few weeks ago and found some extraordinary vintage pieces. The first two pieces that I found were belts. One is white with gold and black trim while the other is black with gold chains. I was immediately drawn to them and could see myself wearing them a lot. The second two items that i found was a ring and necklace. While talking to the vendor about her pieces she informed me that the necklace was also a top to a perfume bottle and the ring was really a lipstick holder and also a mirror!! SAY WHAT?!? yep...you see stuff made over twenty years ago many times had dual functions. Vintage is considered to be more than twenty years old and it's really easy to incorporate some vintage to your modern style.

Here's an interview that I did with Lindsay Pattan. She is a the founder of Miss Ohio Vintage, a traveling vintage boutique. She gives us a sneak peek of great finds in her repertoire!

Here is a peek of my recent vintage finds!

The necklace/perfume bottle top
The lipstick holder/mirror that is now a cool ring!

Jazmyn has incorporated vintage into her look with this rosary necklace and her grandmother's shoes! NOW THAT's VINTAGE!

My look for STL TV LIVE 4/2/12

I really liked my look yesterday on the show. Here I am wearing a Forever 21 lace jacket, a tribal print maxi dress from my collection, Moda Christia, a vintage belt from MOV and a headband also from my line Moda Christia.  I really like this look because it is an eclectic mix of tribal, hippie, and vintage.  I am following the trends but i'm following them my own way and that's what I love about fashion. Express yourself your OWN way! XO;)

The second pic is of me and Jill Manoff! She's an awesome style editor at www.alivemag.com! check her out!
