8 things I'm excited about for fall

Since we are all soooooooo over summer, I've been spending some much needed time day dreaming about fall...and can I tell ya that i'm super excited! It's been one of my feel good moments of the week.  Here's my top 8 of what I'm excited about for fall!

1. Call me the beanie girl! I have them in every color.  Some are thick and some are quilted and I also have turban style beanies.  I just love them.
2.  I can't wait until the pumpkin spice syrup returns to Starbucks.  There's just something about the smell and taste of pumpkin that say welcome fall!
3.  I absolutely love these boots from Steve Madden.  They are originally $170.00, but I found them at Marshalls for $50.00.  I love a great deal!
4.  The Leather T-shirt.  I got mine from the NSale at Nordstrom.  That sale was amazing!
5.  Soups.....They just make you feel so warm inside and out.
6.  Cardigans and Ponchos.  I have some really amazing ones this season and I'm stoked to style them:)!
7.  Scarves.  They are the one piece that can bring your layers together.
8. WATER! Even though it will get cooler, we have to remember to stay hydrated!  Stay hydrated in style with Ice Mountain Water! They have some amazing new flavors of water.

Alexander McQueen's "A Queen Within" Sneak Preview in St. Louis

"In the game of chess, the queen is considered the most powerful and many times the most unpredictable piece," as are the designs of Alexander McQueen.  Last night in St. Louis,  Fashion Group International hosted a special sneak preview of A Queen Within: Adorned Archetypes, Fashion and chess, it's an exhibit that will open on October 19, 2013, with extremely rare pieces from one of the world's largest private collections.

Last night's event was held at the World Chess Hall of Fame in the Central West End and it was incredibly informing and inspiring.  The amazing curators enriched our knowledge of one of the most beloved designers, who definitely left this world too soon.  The pieces shown were intricate, multi-dimensional and every aspect of the design was calculated.  We were surprised to learn that some of the pieces did not only have one design but several within a piece that had it's own functionality.  The pieces were finely crafted with the most beautiful textiles.

The atmosphere was awesome, FGI St. Louis is the pre-eminent authority on the business of fashion and if you would like membership information contact me. They created a wonderful networking atmosphere for fashion professionals and connoisseurs of fashion, provided a variety of hor derv's and cocktails, and there was a 10% discount to shop the World Chess Hall of Fame gift shop! It was a wonderful time last night and you have the chance to see this great exhibit this fall.  The exhibit will actually kick of in St. Louis and then head around the world. Here are the deets:
