FNO canceled??? STL does it's on thing!

Even though FNO (Fashion's Night Out) was canceled nationally, St. Louis decided to keep the tradition alive by having A Night of Style sponsored by St.Louis Magazine. It was a night of networking, free food and drinks that culminate with a fab fashion show inside of the mall. I held down the Fashion Group international booth, mixed and mingled and also enjoyed the show inside. Guess, H&M, Nordstrom, The Limited, Franchesca's and several other retailers showcased their fall trends.  While watching the show it was hard not to keep your head from bobbing because the DJ was incredible. He definitely kept the night interesting! I think some people were more interested in the music than the clothes. At one point my husband and I threw our hands up because heyyyyy he was was playing our jam. He immediately looked over at us and gave us the head not of approval lol! What a great night!

Forest Park Forever Hat Luncheon

Today was a perfect day for lunch in the park and all for a great cause! I got the opportunity to attend the 23rd annual Forest Park Forever luncheon a fundraiser to keep this beautiful park flourishing in the St. Louis region.  If you live in St. Louis, Forest Park is probably a place that you frequent to exercise, go to the zoo or art museum, go paddle boating or slide down art hill on a snow board during the winter.  Today the park was filled with the most spectacular hats and I had the opportunity to serve as one of the anonymous judges walking around inspecting every had that came in.  There were several categories: whimsical, couture, homemade, fascinators, vintage, and best male hat and no one disappointed.  Prizes including  jewelry form Tiffany & Co., Spa packages from Neiman Marcus and Airline tickets.  All in all this pretty fun event raised about $300,000 for our beautiful Forest Park.  Check out a few pics from today's event!

Behind the Scenes of Our Elopement

Eloping was one of the best decisions that Kenny and I made and going with Weddings to Go was an even better one. Let me back up a bit and explain why we decided to go this route in the first place. Actually it was always a dream of mine to get married on the beach, but we were torn because we also wanted our family and friends to witness this joyous occasion.

 As we began planning our majorly over the top wedding the financial and emotional stress became a bit overwhelming  not to mention the fact that we were getting away from the fact that the wedding was about us and our commitment to us. Not about the wedding party, the flowers, what kind of food we served and having the dopest  
D. J.  It was about us and our journey, overcoming major and minor obstacles in our lives, knowing the good, bad and the ugly about each other and yet still willing to say YES!  

Towards the end of November we decided that this was a moment that we wanted to share privately and finding Weddings to Go was a complete God Send. At first we were looking for exotic locations to get married but they all seemed extremely pricey and time didn't permit all of the legal hoops that we had to jump through. While researching further, I happened to find this website call weddings to go key west. I took a look at it and there were beautiful pictures and hundreds of very positive reviews. Kenny and I gave them a call and within the week we were booked.  Our experience with Ray and Eileen from Weddings to Go was stress free, fun, and relaxing! I would do it again and again!!!!

Fur, Snake Skin, and a Little Black Dress

Fur is a great compliment to a little black dress around the holidays. I absolutely love the color of this vest! It's from forever 21, the black dress is by me (moda Christia), snake skin clutch and tights from target. I love this look its great for a night out on the town and the colored rights are a great way to spice up your look! ~Xo!
